Ireland has set an ambitious target to provide 70 per cent of our electricity from renewable energy by 2030. But how will this be achieved? What challenges need to be overcome? How must policies on planning, grid connection and the electricity market change in the coming ten years?
Key leaders and decisionmakers in the Irish renewable energy sector will be setting out their perspectives on these critical questions at the Irish Wind Energy Association’s Autumn Conference in Athlone on Thursday 24 October
Join us for the IWEA Annual Autumn Conference which will take place over two days on the 23rd and 24th October 2019 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.
Day 1 will consist of networking activities, networking drinks reception and a Pre-Conference Dinner. Day 2 will be a full day of conference speakers.
The theme for this year's conference is 70by30 and topics will include:

Please note that all events must be booked separately and that conference tickets do not cover the cost of the golf, the boat trip or the pre-conference dinner. All events must be paid for and booked individually. Demand is very high for these events so in order to ensure your place early booking is essential. An email will be sent to the membership contact with details of registration openings.

Event Terms and Conditions
Delegates are required to pay their registration in full prior to attendance at the conference. In order to confirm your booking, you must complete the booking on line via our website. Members of IWEA can either pay at the time of booking or request to pay by invoice via the website (please note this is the only method available for booking tickets to IWEA Conferences). Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings by email or over the phone. If requesting to pay by invoice, members must submit a copy of their PO if applicable, this can be uploaded during the on-line registration process. Delegates who cancel their place on or before the 1st September 2019 will have their fees refunded, less an administrative charge of €50 per delegate. No Refunds will be made to those cancelling after that date but replacement delegates will be accepted. Non attendees are still liable for payment for the conference. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations by telephone. To avail of the student rate students must be in Full Time Education and must provide a valid student card.
