IWEA are pleased to open registrations for Irelands Offshore WInd Forum 2018 which will take place on Thursday 8th November from 9.00am to 2.00pm in the Arklow Bay Hotel, Co. Wicklow.
Ireland currently has 25MW of installed offshore wind capacity and with Ireland boasting an exceptional offshore wind resource, it is expected to be a major contributor to the energy mix by 2030. In this regard, there is significant opportunity for the sector in the coming years. The forum sessions will focus on evolving energy policy in relation to planning, grid and supports key for increased support and investment in Irish offshore wind and the opportunity to develop a robust supply chain.
Topics covered on the day will include the Marine Spatial Plan, the Maritime Area and Foreshore (Amendment) Bill (MAFA), grid integration and RESS. A full agenda and speakers will be available shortly. This event is open to members and non members of IWEA.

The Arklow Bay Hotel is nestled in the seaside town of Arklow, Co. Wicklow approximately 1 hour from Dublin and located close to Glendalough, Dublin, Wexford, Powerscourt Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens & Brittas Bay. Arklow town is home to a host of shops, boutique's, restaurants and cafés. Stroll along the pier and soak up the atmosphere of this picturesque town. Check out the many things to do in Wicklow.

From Dublin Side
- Take N11 from Dublin to Wexford/Rosslare Harbour
- Take 1st exit for Arklow
- Go around roundabout - follow signs for Arklow
- Just after Topaz Garage on right hand side, turn left into SEA ROAD
- Watch out for Arklow Bay Hotel sign
- Hotel is approx 200m up the road on the right hand side.
From Wexford Side
- Take N11 from Wexford/Rosslare Harbour to Dublin
- Take 2nd exit for Arklow
- Go around roundabout - follow signs for Arklow
- Just after Topaz Garage on right hand side, turn left into SEA ROAD

Please note that you are only entitled to the discounted fees if your membership payments are up to date for 2018. Delegates are required to pay their registration in full prior to attendance at the conference. In order to confirm your booking, you must complete the booking on line via our new website. Members of IWEA can either pay at the time of booking or request to pay by invoice via the website (please note this is the only method available for booking tickets for events). Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings by email or over the phone any more as all bookings need to go through the website to ensure we capture every delegate. If requesting to pay by invoice, members must submit a copy of their PO if applicable, this can be uploaded during the on-line registration process. Delegates who cancel their place within two months of the event will have their fees refunded, less an administrative charge of €50 per delegate. No Refunds will be made to those cancelling after that time but replacement delegates will be accepted. Non attendees are still liable for payment for the conference. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations by telephone. To avail of the student rate students must be in Full Time Education and must provide a valid student card.
