Lirion Power was established to be a new kind of onshore renewable energy player, one
that combines fresh capital with operational expertise to accelerate Ireland’s energy
transition. The Lirion Power platform focuses on optimising and reinvesting in existing
onshore renewable assets, particularly mid-life wind farms approaching the latter stages
of revenue support frameworks. These assets offer significant opportunities for co
location and hybridisation, re-contracting, and repowering to maximise renewable
generation output and extend asset lifetimes.

In July 2025, Lirion Power completed the acquisition of six operating onshore wind farms
in Ireland, with a combined gross capacity of 166MW, from Greencoat Renewables. This
milestone marked an investment of €156m in Ireland and the start of building a company
with deep capabilities across operations, power markets, development, and finance,
designed to deliver long-term value for Ireland’s energy system. Lirion Power has
assembled an experienced management team in these core areas, committed to actively
managing the current and future portfolio and acting as a long-term, active owner of
renewable generation and system services in the Irish market.
