Sustainability is a noisy subject. Companies are struggling to know where to begin, what frameworks they might use? What’s important in their sector and to their stakeholders? It is no longer just a nice to have, but a must have in this competitive business landscape.
This suite of courses has been designed to provide participants with a practical introduction to sustainability, to equip them with the awareness, knowledge and skills required to underpin long-term sustainable behaviours across all material aspects of sustainability.
Carbon Footprinting – 08 November 2022
Through knowing their carbon footprint, this course will help participants to understand how to measure and report climate change and carbon emissions and how to assess climate risk and opportunity in their organisations. We will share examples of best practise and recommended approaches to setting targets and pathways towards Net Zero and explain other science-based targets.
Sustainability Leadership – 10 November 2022
Participants will understand the topics material to their business: carbon and climate change, energy, water, packaging, waste, biodiversity, sourcing, workplace. Additionally, they will be able to develop out their own responsible business practice through practical tools and approaches they can implement.
Sustainability and ESG Reporting – 15 November 2022
This course will delve into the best practices in ESG reporting and communications, and the do’s and don’ts of sustainability in annual reports, sustainability reports, policy documents, non-financial reporting requirements, PLC’s peer analysis and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative).
Design Thinking Applied to Sustainability – 22 November 2022
Design Thinking refers to the methods and processes for investigating ill-defined problems, acquiring information, analysing knowledge, and conceiving solutions. Through this course we will integrate the discipline of design strategy with design thinking methods and processes, best practices in innovation & creativity and business as it applies to the principles and applications of sustainability.
Circular Mindset – 29 November 2022
This course will help businesses understand how thinking with a circular mindset can fundamentally change your business for the better. We will focus on how to manage the transition to being ‘more circular’. The course will outline the principles that are needed to drive innovation and breakthrough thinking. We will share examples from across multiple sectors and concepts for implementation and reflect on new business models for consideration. We will also at the requirements for behavioural change, taking a design approach, mechanisms for becoming more circular and the challenges therein.
