Education: Irish language material on wind energy and climate change sent to schools

30 Nov 2021

New Irish language material on #climatechange and #windenergy made its way to gaelscoileanna across the country last week as teachers and students digest the #cop26glasgow findings.

The information packs included a copy of our recent infographic (carried in a number of regional papers in September 2021) on climate change in Ireland and wind energy. This piece was kindly translated by COGG and we hope that it is useful in the classroom. We also highlighted our animated video on YouTube that gives more information on this topic for primary school children, ‘The Power of Wind – Ireland and Climate Change.’

Finally, we enclosed a copy of ‘Let the Wind Blow’ a book produced by Wind Europe and translated into 16 languages – including Irish! We hope schools can use this book for the school library or as part of  lessons on SESE or Green Schools or geography.
