Q3 Policy Forum & Member Connect BBQ
Wind Energy Ireland published its Offshore Wind Action Plan in May 2025. This plan highlighted 4 priority areas for Government and industry to focus on over the coming months and years to support and accelerate offshore wind delivery in Ireland.
4 months on, we will revisit the Plan and the 24 recommended actions to determine where progress has already been made, and where we need to increase our efforts over the remainder of 2025 and into 2026, to deliver results, alongside key stakeholders.
In particular, this Q3 Policy Forum will provide an opportunity for members to meet, in-person, and as a group, take a deeper dive into how we achieve aspects of the Offshore Wind Action Plan - to further flesh out industry perspectives and positions on improving the design of the long-term offshore wind development pathway, from project concept through to commissioning.
We will examine and discuss the key considerations for how to maximise the South Coast DMAP and support the National DMAP development process, including assessing grid capacity and opportunities for demand growth to enable viable offtake opportunities for future projects.
The Policy Forum will be sponsored by Green Tech Skillnet.
