WEI Grid Capacity Workshop

WEI are organising a half-day Grid Capacity workshop on the 31st August in the Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin. This is an opportunity for interested WEI members to workshop ideas that can enable more capacity on the grid to accommodate our onshore and offshore wind targets.

The idea is to build on documents such as EirGrid’s Shaping our Electricity Future Roadmap and the Bridging the Gap report to come up with a set of solutions we can then progress with key stakeholders such as the System Operators and Regulator. Some of these solutions will fall under the remit of the System Operators but we are also interested in hearing other ideas such as third-party solutions that might be feasible here.

Places will be limited and we would like to encourage as diverse a representation among our membership as possible so there will be a maximum of two representatives per company. An agenda/structure for the session will be issued to participants closer to the time.
