Wind Energy Trade Show 2023
18th October 2023
Sport Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin
We are proud to announce an exciting new event for 2023 which will bring together Ireland’s growing domestic supply chain, the key players in the global wind energy industry and cutting edge research from Ireland and internationally for the country’s first Wind Energy Trade Show.
Already a leader in onshore wind energy, Ireland has the project pipeline and the determination to become a force in offshore renewables as well. The 2023 Trade Show will showcase the exciting potential for new entrants into the Irish market and introduce to the world Irish companies that are not just competing here but are ready to compete internationally.
All this against a backdrop of two full days of seminars, workshops and recruitment opportunities. This is set to be a landmark annual event for Europe’s wind energy industry and this is your chance to be a part of it.
Ireland is unique.
We are a world leader in the development, delivery and integration of onshore wind energy. In 2020 38 per cent of Ireland’s annual electricity demand was met by onshore wind farms and our electricity grid can routinely cope with 60-70 per cent of demand on the system being met by wind.
And yet we have failed, over the last 20 years, to match this success off our coast. Only a single offshore wind farm, built in the early 2000s, is there to take advantage of what are arguably some of the best offshore wind resources anywhere in the world.
We're unique in another way too.
Ireland has set some of the most ambitious onshore and offshore wind targets in the world.
We are to double our onshore capacity in eight years and to build an entirely new offshore wind industry in half a decade which can deliver 7 GW of offshore wind by 2030.
And we want you to be a part of this.
Ireland’s first ever Wind Energy Trade Show takes place next October in Dublin. It will bring together Ireland’s growing domestic supply chain, the key players in the global wind energy industry and cutting-edge research from Ireland and internationally.
This event will be a meeting place where the world’s major players and key industry leaders will chart a vision for Ireland’s energy future alongside a rapidly growing network of local and European suppliers all looking to invest in our energy revolution.
The Trade Show will showcase the exciting potential for new entrants into the Irish market and introduce to the world, Irish companies that are not ready, willing and able to compete internationally.
Why should I attend?
Because we want you to share in the unique opportunity of working with one of the most successful onshore wind industries anywhere in the world and of helping to shape our offshore wind energy future.
Everyone is welcome but for some of you the Wind Energy Trade Show is simply unmissable.
