Introducing your offshore project

28th July 2020

Webinar

Webinar Details

Ireland is on the threshold of an energy revolution as we work to develop at least 3.5 GW of offshore wind energy by the end of the decade.
Central to achieving this is working with communities along our coasts and those whose livelihoods depend on fishing and the sea.
How do we introduce what is, for them, a new technology? How do we ensure that the concerns of local communities are addressed and that they can help shape the evolution of these projects? And how do we challenge myths and correct misunderstandings?

Some of our leading experts in offshore wind development will share their experiences of successfully introducing projects to communities, identifying the approaches that work – and don’t – and highlighting the importance of social acceptance to enabling us to lead Ireland’s offshore wind energy revolution.

When: Tuesday 28th July, 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm
Who: Rupert Judson, Deputy Project Director, Codling Wind Park
Paul Kelly, Senior Development and Consents Manager Ireland, RWE
